Here’s how to get started with Citizen Canine:

We request that all new clients complete a complimentary pre-boarding interview. This is so that our staff trainers can learn about your dog’s social, behavioral and medical history. This also allows time to answer your questions about our services and to give you a complete tour of the facility. If your dog has never boarded before or has a history of separation anxiety, we may require a trial overnight in advance of a long stay.*
Space is limited, so it is recommended that you schedule an interview and reservation well in advance of a planned trip. Of course, we are always eager to schedule an interview even if you have no immediate need for day care or boarding!
To get started, please complete the following:
1. Fill out our Online Registration Form. Once submitted, we will contact you to schedule an interview and confirm any reservation requests.
2. You may also call us at (510) 562-1750 to register by phone.
3. In advance, download and read some of the material that will be covered during your appointment:

4. Bring your dog’s current vaccination records to the interview, or have your veterinarian fax them to us: (510) 562-0132. Double check that the last name on your vet records matches the name on our Client Information Form.
* Please be aware that occasionally during the interview or after a trial stay, the staff trainer may determine that a dog is not compatible with our facility. We do not charge an interview fee, however we do enforce a 24-hour cancellation policy, and ask that all reservations and interview appointments be held with a Visa or Mastercard. Please call in advance to cancel or reschedule any appointments.
