A Day in the Life

6 a.m. – 7 a.m.   All overnight guests are taken out for potty walks in groups by the morning staff.

7 a.m. - 9 a.m.   Overnight guests enjoy breakfast in bed while day care dogs check in.  Since no one likes to run around on a full tummy, everyone gets a chance to digest and relax before play time.  Canine Adventurers load up in the Adventure Waggin’ and pick up their other canine buddies.

9 a.m. – 1 p.m.   The morning play group fun begins!  Each dog is assigned to a playgroup based on age, size, activity level and play style. The groups are small, supervised and last up to 30 minutes depending on activity level, weather and other circumstances. We monitor groups so that dogs get enough exercise without overdoing it. Family groups or private play dogs have up to 15 minutes outside with focused one-on-one attention from a staff member to play however your dog wants to. We make sure they always have a great time.

Canine Adventurers begin their trail hikes and then either return home or back to Citizen Canine.

After all the excitement of their morning social buzz, the dogs come inside to relax before they rejoin their friends in the afternoon. Some dogs use this down time to work on a Kong or chew toy, but most dogs just like to nap.

1 p.m - 5 p.m.   Afternoon play group sessions begin in the same format as the morning groups.  If you‘ve treated your dog to any upgrades, your dog will get this extra attention in the afternoon as well.

6 p.m - 8 p.m.   Overnight dogs say goodbye to their daycare buddies and look forward to dinner, served in their rooms. After the dogs have eaten, the staff makes sure that their rooms are comfortable for a night of restful sleep.

8 p.m. – 9 p.m.   The day wraps up after our guests rejoin some of their friends for an evening potty break before getting tucked in and drifting off to sleep.

9 p.m. - 6 a.m.  We have an overnight staff member on duty to make sure everyone is safe and sound.
