Day Care

A Different Kind of Doggie Day Care

Citizen Canine’s unique programs allow us to tailor your dog’s daycare experience to his or her particular personality. Our small, specialized, closely monitored playgroups and private accommodations are the key.

Based on the information we gather at the initial consultation, dogs are divided into groups based first by size, and then by age and activity level. Active dogs will have a blast romping in the yards with other go-getter canines. Younger dogs still working to finesse their social skills will benefit from the extra direction our experienced handlers are able to provide. Older dogs have their own groups where they can enjoy the sunshine without being harassed by boisterous youngsters. Groups are typically made up of 8 to 10 dogs. We have the highest staff-to-dog ratios in the Bay Area to keep group play time both fun and as safe as possible.

Between play times, each daycare dog relaxes in his or her own private room. This blend of playtime and relaxation time gives your dog a fun filled day without over-exertion or over-stimulation. We will be glad to feed your dog according to your regular schedule during daycare. Feel free to bring a favorite chew bone, or ask us to stuff your dog a Kong toy for an afternoon snack.

Whether your dog needs daycare just a few days a year, several days a week, or anything in-between, Citizen Canine’s doggie daycare program is the answer.

Daycare may not be available on Fridays or weekends during peak boarding periods. Advance reservations are required for all daycare visits.
